James Beard Foundation Award Winner

If you’re a foodie, you know that James Beard was an American Culinary legend and a coveted James Beard award signifies a national level of culinary expertise. Our Chef Andreola recently received a James Beard Foundation award for Outstanding Contribution to the Foundation. Chef Andreola was one of 5 chefs from across the country chosen to participate in the James Beard Foundation’s Holiday Dinner on Dec. 1, 2016 at the James Beard House in Greenwich Village, N.Y. To say we are proud is an understatement!

A little bit about Chef John Andreola

Chef Andreola has been pursuing his creative culinary passion for over 25 years. Hailing from the East Coast he began his career at New Jersey restaurants and hotels in 1987 as cook, food production manager, and banquet chef. He relocated to North Carolina in 1999 to further his career, eventually becoming Executive Chef at the Sheraton Atlantic Beach where he managed a staff of 40 and won several culinary awards.

Chef Andreola became the executive chef at The Nautical Beachfront Resort in 2013 overseeing operations at the resort’s three Food and Beverage outlets – The Turtle Grille, The Turtle Beach Bar & Grill, and the WET Palapa bar. He is active within the community, participating in events benefiting local charities, such as “Havasu’s Top Chef” competition, which he won in 2014.

“Food and Beverage is a vital part of the Nautical Beachfront Resort experience,” says our General Manager, Steven Boswell. “I am so proud and privileged that Chef Andreola is my second James Beard Winner Chef. It’s so exciting for Lake Havasu City’s food scene to have such an esteemed chef as part of our team.”

Chef Andreola sums up his thoughts about the Nautical Beachfront Resort in the following way, “Running the food and beverage operation at the Nautical has been amazing and rewarding. I love being able to get out on the floor, interact with our guests and ‘touch the table’. I am thankful for the support from my General Manager Steven Boswell and my management team for helping to create incredible guest experiences at The Nautical Beachfront Resort.”
